Establishes performance of duty disability retirement benefits for Nassau County fire marshals at all ranks and trainees, providing a pension of 50% of final average salary plus an annuity equal to accumulated contributions.

Allows eligible members to apply for disability retirement if physically or mentally incapacitated due to a disability sustained in performance of duty, with applications permitted up to two years after leaving service.

Requires written notice to the state comptroller within 90 days of the disabling occurrence, unless covered by workers' compensation filing, application filed within one year, or good cause exception is approved.

Makes all implementation costs and past service costs the responsibility of Nassau County, with past service costs of approximately $199,000 capable of being amortized over 10 years.

Workers' compensation benefits received by members are in addition to, not offset by, the disability retirement allowance provided under this section.
