Authorizes the St. Lawrence county jail to detain persons under arrest being held for arraignment in any court located in St. Lawrence county.

Amends Correction Law Section 500-a by adding subdivision 2-s to permit the St. Lawrence county jail to be used for pre-arraignment detention.

Amends Correction Law Section 500-c by adding subdivision 25 to apply all provisions of that section equally to persons held for arraignment prior to judicial commitment, as if they had been judicially committed to the sheriff's custody.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment, with the Section 500-c amendments subject to repeal if that section is repealed.
