Amends Penal Law Section 240.30(3) to include removing or threatening to remove religious clothing articles or headdresses as a form of aggravated harassment in the second degree.

Applies this protection when the removal or threat of removal is done with intent to harass, annoy, threaten, or alarm another person because of belief or perception regarding race, color, national origin, ancestry, gender, religion, religious practice, age, disability, or sexual orientation.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
