Establishes an 11-member geoparks task force consisting of three state commissioners (or designees), four members appointed by legislative leaders, and four members appointed by the governor and legislative minority leaders, with expertise in geology, education, sustainable development, and parks.

Requires the task force to submit a report to the governor and legislature within 24 months identifying geologically significant sites suitable for geopark designation, including sites within existing state parks.

Mandates the report include recommendations for educational programs, sustainable socio-economic development such as geotourism, geological heritage conservation strategies, and cost estimates for implementation.

Requires the task force to conduct three public hearings in different areas of the state and consult with federal government and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization officials during the planning process.

Authorizes the task force to request and receive assistance and data from state agencies, political subdivisions, and public authorities necessary to carry out its responsibilities.
