Amends the definition of "imitation weapon" in General Business Law Section 871 to include cases and covers for wireless communication devices that substantially duplicate or can be perceived as actual firearms, air rifles, pellet guns, or BB guns

Maintains existing exemptions for imitation weapons that are: colored other than black, blue, silver or aluminum; marked with a non-removable orange stripe at least one inch wide running the entire barrel length; and have a barrel at least one inch in diameter closed for at least one-half inch from the front end

Adds a new definition of "wireless communications device" referencing the definition in County Law Section 301, Subdivision 9

Preserves the existing exemption for nonfiring replicas of antique firearms designed, manufactured and produced before 1898

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
