Prohibits non-therapeutic use of antimicrobial agents in cattle, poultry, sheep, swine, and animals raised for food production, including those producing eggs and milk.

Defines non-therapeutic use as administration of antimicrobial agents as feed or water additives for growth promotion, feed efficiency, weight gain, routine disease prevention, or similar purposes without clinical signs of disease.

Bans sale, exposure for sale, or transportation for sale within New York of food products derived from animals subject to non-therapeutic antimicrobial use, regardless of origin.

Classifies violations as Class A misdemeanors.

Takes effect 180 days after enactment, with the commissioner authorized to promulgate regulations immediately to implement the law by the effective date.
