Establishes a Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway to earn a Regents or local high school diploma with alternative assessment requirements compared to traditional diploma tracks.

Requires CTE diplomas to include completion of a CTE sequence from an approved business, BOCES, secondary program, or higher education institution; work-based learning experiences; and a work-skills employability profile.

Covers career fields including agriculture, business and marketing, family and consumer sciences, health occupations, technical education, technology education, and trade and industrial education.

Makes CTE pathway diplomas available to all students, including students with disabilities, with the Regents to establish curriculum and assessment standards in consultation with trade and professional organizations.

Allows students entering high school in the 2018-2019 school year and thereafter to earn a diploma through the CTE pathway; takes effect immediately.
