Amends Mental Hygiene Law Section 13.09 by adding subdivision (i) requiring the commissioner to notify the chief executive officer of any municipality when a sex offender is transferred to a community program or residence within that municipality

Requires the commissioner to also notify the superintendent of schools in which such facility is located

Notice must be provided no later than ten calendar days prior to the transfer

Defines "sex offender" pursuant to subdivision one of Correction Law Section 168-a

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
