Allows retirees from the New York State and Local Police and Fire Retirement System, NYC Police Pension Fund, or NYC Fire Department Pension Fund to work as criminal justice faculty at SUNY or CUNY community colleges without losing their retirement benefits.

Automatically grants retirement earnings limitation waivers to eligible retirees who take such faculty positions, permitting them to receive full retirement allowances while employed.

Excludes individuals who have not yet retired from police or fire service from automatic waiver eligibility, requiring them to seek waivers through standard procedures.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.

Fiscal impact expected to be negligible, affecting few retirees with minimal additional annual costs to the retirement system.
