Amends the Retirement and Social Security Law to add State University of New York (SUNY) police officers to the "heart bill" performance of duty disability provision for heart disease.

Expands the definition of "police officer" in Section 363-a to include SUNY police officers who are members of the New York State and Local Police and Fire Retirement System.

Establishes that SUNY police officers are eligible for performance of duty disability retirement benefits for heart-related conditions if they passed a pre-service physical examination showing no evidence of heart disease.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.

Fiscal note indicates anticipated negligible costs as few performance of duty disability retirements are expected to be granted under this provision.
