Authorizes licensed practitioners and unlicensed personnel at local correctional facilities to use body imaging scanning equipment with ionizing radiation to screen inmates for contraband as part of security programs.

Requires unlicensed personnel to complete an approved training course before operating the equipment and receive annual refresher training.

Limits inmate exposure to no more than 50 percent of annual non-radiation worker exposure limits, with inmates under 18 limited to 5 percent of such limits, and prohibits scanning of pregnant women.

Mandates registration of all body imaging scanning equipment with the Department of Health, regular inspections, and maintenance of usage records by correctional facilities.

Requires annual reports to the Department of Health, Assembly Speaker, and Senate President detailing equipment usage frequency, exposure levels, contraband detection results, and any injuries or illnesses resulting from the equipment.

Expires five years after the effective date (120 days after enactment).
