Amends Criminal Procedure Law Section 310.10 to modify rules governing suspension of jury deliberations after jury has been charged or commenced deliberations.

Replaces the 24-hour maximum suspension limit (with Saturday/Sunday/holiday exceptions) with a limit of close of business on the next day, or close of business on the third day for good cause shown.

Allows both parties to consent to suspension periods longer than three days.

Clarifies that when a referenced day falls on Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday, it means the next day the courthouse is open for conducting trials.

Takes effect immediately and applies to all criminal actions pending on or after the effective date.
