Grants Steven R. Grice retroactive Tier III membership status in the New York State and Local Employees' Retirement System, with membership backdated to June 22, 1981, his first date of employment with Genesee County.

Requires Grice to file an application with the state comptroller within one year of the act's effective date to claim Tier III status and its associated rights and benefits.

Eliminates the requirement for Grice to make 3% member contributions as a Tier III member with over 10 years of service.

Requires Genesee County to bear all past service costs, estimated at approximately $5,660 as a one-time payment and approximately $5,000 in increased annual contributions for fiscal year 2019.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
