Requires retail furniture sellers to stock and prominently display tip restraint devices (straps, wall brackets, steel cables, or plug and screw sets) compatible with furniture offered for sale.

Applies only to freestanding clothing storage units over 25 inches tall, including chests, dressers, armoires, and bureaus.

Mandates retailers post a conspicuous notice stating that furniture may tip over and cause injury or death, and that tip restraint devices may prevent tipping when properly installed.

Exempts retailers from stocking requirements if furniture is sold with a compatible tip restraint device included with the purchase, and exempts online retailers entirely.

Establishes a civil penalty of up to $500 per violation for non-compliance, effective 90 days after the bill becomes law.
