Office for People with Developmental Disabilities must submit updated waitlist and placement reports to the Senate President and Assembly Speaker by January 1, 2021, and every six months thereafter.

Reports must include statewide waitlist data broken down by geographic area, individual age, and caregiver age, with categories for certified out-of-home placement, supervised/supportive placement, medically frail individuals, non-certified residential placement, and home and community-based services.

Reports must detail placement numbers during the preceding six months, individuals placed outside the waitlist and reasons for placement, and individuals currently in inadequate living situations awaiting alternative placement.

Reports must include failed placements or alternative placement requests with reasons, placement costs by type, funding sources and remaining appropriation balances, projected funding needs, and five-year projections for out-of-home and in-home support needs.

Reports must include a plan for meeting out-of-home residential placement needs and any other information deemed necessary by the commissioner.
