Division of Veterans Services, in consultation with the Division of the Budget, shall conduct a comprehensive study on veterans services provided to New York State residents.

Study must include a list of all veterans services agencies and not-for-profit organizations providing services to veterans, the counties each entity serves, and the specific services provided by each.

Division of Veterans Services must submit the completed study to the Governor, Temporary President of the Senate, Speaker of the Assembly, and relevant Senate and Assembly committee members within one year of the bill's effective date.

Division of Veterans Services and Division of the Budget are authorized to request and receive relevant information from any state agency, with such information subject to the same confidentiality requirements applicable to the original agency.

Act takes effect immediately and expires January 1, 2021.
