Increases the maximum bail deposit amount for charitable bail organizations from $2,000 to $10,000 per defendant charged with one or more offenses as defined in Penal Law section 10.00.

Expands the types of charges eligible for charitable bail deposits to cover all offenses under Penal Law section 10.00, not just misdemeanors.

Removes the geographic restriction limiting charitable bail organizations to depositing money as bail in only one county (or five counties for organizations in cities with populations of one million or more).

Retains requirements that charitable bail organizations only assist financially unable defendants and cannot charge premiums or receive compensation for their services.

Takes effect ninety days after becoming law.
