Applies the same 6-hour initial training and 3-hour continuing education requirements to psychologists and other certified or licensed counseling professionals

Mandates fire fighters and emergency services personnel to complete the minimum 6 hours of coursework or supervised applied experience in suicide risk assessment and intervention, plus 3 hours of continuing education

Authorizes the Department of Health to develop training requirements for suicide risk assessment and intervention either directly or through contractual arrangements

Takes effect January 1, 2021
