Amends Judiciary Law Section 478 to add a new subsection prohibiting employers from discriminating against individuals participating in temporary law practice authorization programs created during the COVID-19 state of emergency.

Protects law graduates authorized to engage in limited law practice under appellate division practice orders issued to alleviate hardship on bar applicants during the declared state of emergency.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment and automatically expires upon the expiration of the declared state of emergency relating to COVID-19.

Requires the Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals to notify the legislative bill drafting commission when the state disaster emergency expires so laws can be updated accordingly.
