Increase annual in-service training for child protective services workers from 6 to 8 hours, beginning in their second year of employment.

Require all child protective services workers to complete training in developmental disability awareness and sensitivity, cultural competency, sensitivity, and implicit bias as part of their annual in-service training.

Require all supervisors at child protective services to complete 8 hours of annual in-service training beginning in their second year of employment as a supervisor.

Add developmental disability awareness and sensitivity training to the supervisory training course requirements for child protective services.

The act takes effect immediately upon enactment.
