Commemorates the 26th Anniversary of Jumpstart, a national early education nonprofit established in 1994 that provides language, literacy, and social-emotional programming to preschool children in under-resourced communities

Jumpstart was founded by college students Aaron Lieberman, Rebecca Weintraub, Jordan Meranus, and David Carmel after working at Ramapo Anchorage Camp in Upstate New York

Organization has trained over 50,000 college students and community volunteers and served more than 123,000 preschool children nationwide since inception

In New York City, Jumpstart recruits volunteers from 10 universities and colleges to serve nearly 1,500 children annually across 40 preschool partner locations, with an additional 500 children reached during summer programs

Recognizes Jumpstart's mission to close the kindergarten readiness gap through partnerships with higher education institutions, Head Start programs, and school districts
