NY S01000

Adds a new subdivision to Agriculture and Markets Law requiring the Department of Agriculture and Markets and State Soil and Water Conservation Committee to define and continuously review farm conservation practices and determine what scope of engineering, land surveying, or architecture work they require.

Exempts farm conservation practices from New York's architectural and engineering licensing requirements under Education Law, except where the Department of Agriculture and Markets and State Soil and Water Conservation Committee determine such licensing is necessary.

Applies exemption to alterations costing $10,000 or less and to farm buildings (barns, sheds, poultry houses, and other agricultural structures) under Education Law professional licensing provisions.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
