Extends variable supplement fund benefits to previously ineligible New York City police officers, including disabled officers, line of duty widows and widowers, and registered domestic partners.

Expands variable supplement fund eligibility for New York City firefighters in the same categories: disabled firefighters, line of duty survivors, and registered domestic partners.

Grants variable supplement fund benefits to transit police, housing police, and correction officers who were previously ineligible, along with their widows, widowers, and registered domestic partners.

Protects existing beneficiaries by prohibiting any reduction in variable supplement payments to officers or beneficiaries who were eligible prior to this law's effective date.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
