Amends Executive Law Section 214-c to add "prevention training" to elder abuse awareness requirements for the Division of State Police, in cooperation with the State Office for the Aging and Office of Children and Family Services.

Requires the superintendent to develop a program training senior service providers in detection, reporting, and counseling of elder abuse victims.

Mandates that employees of senior centers and entities contracting with state offices to serve seniors receive elder abuse detection and reporting training, with refresher training at least every three years if they have significant direct contact with senior citizens.

Requires senior centers to hold at least two educational sessions per year where members and guests receive counseling on elder abuse prevention, awareness, detection, and reporting procedures.

Takes effect 120 days after becoming law.
