Establishes a veterans' gerontological advisory committee within the office, consisting of no more than nineteen members appointed for six-year terms and serving without salary.

Committee composition includes two governor-appointed veterans; nine director-appointed professionals (physician in geriatric medicine, social gerontology researcher, geriatric nurse practitioner, geriatric psychiatrist, veterans' home-based primary care director, veterans' respite care caregiver, eldercare planning expert, gerontological social worker, and economist); and five members nominated by legislative leadership (three by senate president, three by assembly speaker, one by senate minority leader, one by assembly minority leader), all of whom must be veterans.

Requires that at least sixty percent of committee members appointed after the effective date shall be sixty years of age or over.

Committee shall meet at least once annually and provide advice and recommendations to the director regarding policies, programs, services, and trends impacting New York's aging veteran population and veterans' healthcare systems.

Members serve without compensation, do not hold governmental office, are not required to take oaths, and cannot exercise sovereign powers of the state; membership does not disqualify individuals from holding other public office or employment.
