NY S04225

Adds a new section 225 to the Elder Law protecting the privacy of senior center visitor contact information (name, address, phone number).

Prohibits public entities and their employees, officers, or agents from disclosing senior center visitor contact information and exempts such information from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Law.

Allows disclosure of contact information in civil court proceedings or administrative hearings that directly relate to a senior center attendance matter.

Imposes a civil penalty of up to $5,000 for any person who knowingly releases or permits disclosure of confidential contact information to unauthorized persons or entities.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
