Reduces signature requirements for designating petitions in counties with a population of 250,000 or fewer by one-quarter, rounded down to the nearest whole number.

Applies the reduced signature requirement to all office designations listed in existing Election Law Section 6-136, subdivisions (a) through (l).

Establishes a separate requirement for political subdivision petitions in counties with 250,000 or fewer residents: signatures must equal at least 3.75% of enrolled party voters in that unit (excluding inactive voters), except for ward, town, city, or county committee positions.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
