Expands mandatory continuing education requirements to include land surveyors and professional geologists alongside professional engineers, with land surveyors required to complete 24 hours per triennial registration period instead of 36 hours for engineers and geologists.

Allows up to six continuing education hours (instead of zero) to transfer from one triennial period to the next, with exceptions for hours completed during the registration period immediately preceding the effective date.

Adds exemption for professional geologists employed full-time by New York State, its agencies, public authorities, or local governmental units prior to January 1, 2022, matching existing exemption for engineers in similar positions.

Clarifies that completing continuing education in related professions (architecture, interior design, landscape architecture) does not authorize licensees to practice professions they are not licensed to practice.

Repeals Section 7212 of the Education Law regarding mandatory continuing education for land surveyors and makes changes effective January 1, 2022.
