Mandates hospitals provide expectant mothers diagnosed with pre-term labor information about the potential health effects of pre-term labor and premature birth on both mother and fetus.

Requires hospitals and birth centers to distribute informational leaflets to all prospective maternity patients at pre-booking and to any expectant mother presenting during pregnancy, with materials designed by the health commissioner.

Adds pre-term labor and premature birth information to required hospital informational leaflets, including definitions and risks to expectant mothers and fetuses.

Takes effect 60 days after enactment, with immediate authorization for implementing rules and regulations.
