Requires nursing home and adult care facility COVID-19 death reporting to include confirmed and presumed positive cases of residents who were transferred to hospitals and died there, retroactive to March 1, 2020, with updates posted within 30 days of the law's effective date.

Mandates the Department of Health share aggregate reports from the Health Emergency Response Data System (HERDS) with surveyed entities on a timeline appropriate to the emergency, including weekly or more frequent reports during active surveys.

Requires communicable disease reports from state institutions and licensed facilities to identify whether patients were transferred from another facility and whether they work in a health care facility.

Requires the Department of Health to maintain and update information on the department's website at least weekly during declared public health emergencies, including the number of cases and deaths of nursing home and adult care facility residents and staff.

Records deaths from communicable diseases of nursing home or adult care facility residents as facility-associated deaths even if the individual died in a hospital, and requires weekly public reporting of this information during declared public health emergencies.
