Boards of elections in cities with over one million residents must provide all voting-related materials in Haitian Creole, including registration forms, notices, instructions, ballots, and ballot marking devices.

Boards must provide Haitian Creole information on their websites matching what is available in other non-English languages.

Boards must produce and distribute a citywide booklet containing a voter registration form with Haitian Creole instructions, information about absentee ballot applications, and general voter information including frequently asked questions.

Boards must provide one or more Haitian Creole-speaking interpreters at each polling location in election districts within counties where at least five percent of the population identifies as Haitian according to the most recent U.S. census.

The act takes effect thirty days after becoming law, with rule and regulation amendments authorized immediately for implementation.
