Prohibits denial of occupancy or eviction from public housing projects based on a tenant's ownership of dogs of specific breeds, sizes, or weights.

Prohibits landlords of apartment buildings, tenement houses, mobile home parks, and other residential buildings from restricting tenants' ability to own dogs based on breed, size, or weight.

Allows housing authorities and landlords to enforce reasonable restrictions on dog ownership generally and on dangerous dogs as defined in Agriculture and Markets Law Section 123.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
