Prohibits automobile insurers from refusing to issue a policy to any applicant solely based on the applicant's credit information.

Prohibits automobile insurers from refusing to renew an existing policy solely based on the named insured's credit information.

Prohibits insurers from requesting credit information or credit reports from consumer reporting agencies for the purpose of renewing an automobile insurance policy.

Applies to automobile insurance policies on vehicles predominantly used for non-business purposes where a natural person is the named insured, excluding transportation network company vehicles.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
