Amends Criminal Procedure Law Section 182.20 to add Steuben County to the list of counties where electronic defendant appearances are permitted in criminal actions

Electronic appearances may be conducted at the court's discretion, except for hearings or trials, provided the chief administrator of the courts has authorized electronic appearance

Requires the defendant, after consultation with counsel, to consent on the record to each electronic appearance

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
