Repeals paragraph (d) of subdivision 1 of section 350 of the social services law.

Amends paragraph (d) of subdivision 5 of section 131-a to authorize payment of camp fees for children receiving family assistance or safety net assistance when a social services official deems it advisable for the child's welfare.

Requires that camps be operated by not-for-profit organizations, corporations, or agencies with operating certificates issued by appropriate health officials in their jurisdiction.

Limits camp fee assistance to cases where funds cannot be obtained from other sources and fees do not exceed maximum amounts established by regulations of the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance.

Takes effect June 30, 2021, with authority for emergency regulations to be promulgated on or before the effective date.
