Grants Steven R. Grice retroactive Tier III membership status in the New York State and Local Employees' Retirement System effective June 22, 1981, his first date of employment with Genesee County.

Requires Grice to file an application with the state comptroller within one year of the act's effective date to be deemed a member as of June 22, 1981.

Grice, currently a Tier VI member, will become eligible for all Tier III rights and benefits with no refund of his contributions made to the system.

County of Genesee must bear all past service costs, estimated at approximately $18,600 as a one-time payment, plus increased annual contributions of approximately $3,900 for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023.

Act takes effect immediately upon enactment.
