Establishes a temporary Mental Health Housing Evaluation Commission for Aging in Place within the office of mental health to study barriers to aging in place for residents of community-based mental health housing programs.

Commission shall make recommendations on removing barriers to adequate care, identifying policy and regulatory changes to enable access to mental health and medical services, making facilities ADA compliant, training staff for elderly care, and improving medical transportation and follow-up.

Commission consists of nine members appointed within 60 days: three by the governor, two by the assembly speaker, two by the senate temporary president, one by the senate minority leader, and one by the assembly minority leader; must include representatives from advocacy groups, healthcare professionals, mental health professionals, and mental health housing program directors.

Commission members receive no compensation but are reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses; must meet at least three times and submit findings and recommendations to the governor and legislature within twelve months of the act taking effect.

Act takes effect immediately and automatically repeals thirty days after the required report is submitted to the legislature.
