Amends General Municipal Law section 208-f to extend special accidental death benefits to parents of deceased members of police departments, fire departments, correction officers, sheriff's departments, EMTs, and sanitation workers if the member has no surviving spouse or children under age 18 (or 23 if a student).

Benefit payment equals the deceased member's salary reduced by other benefits received, with annual increases and escalation percentages ranging from 267.1% for deaths in 1977 or prior to 0.0% for deaths in 2021.

Parents receive the special accidental death benefit for their lifetimes under the same payment structure as surviving spouses.

For members who died before this law's effective date, benefit payments to parents commence immediately upon enactment but are calculated retroactively with annual increases and escalation applied from the date of the member's death.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
