Expands the definition of transit employees protected under Penal Law Section 120.05(11) to include station customer assistants, revenue collectors, and maintenance and repair personnel for buses, subway tracks, stations, and related transit infrastructure

Adds supervisors of transit personnel to the list of protected employees employed by transit or commuter rail agencies, authorities, or companies authorized by New York State or its political subdivisions

Extends protection to employees performing assigned duties related to transit operations including customer assistance, ticket sales and collection, and maintenance or cleaning of trains, buses, stations, and transit equipment

Maintains existing protections for transit workers such as train operators, conductors, bus operators, and station agents, as well as other public safety personnel including city marshals, traffic enforcement officers, nurses, and emergency medical service workers

Effective ninety days after the bill becomes law
