Buyers are prohibited from purchasing catalytic converters from sellers who do not comply with information disclosure requirements.

Buyers must verify that catalytic converters match the manufacturer's specifications for the vehicle from which they were removed before making a purchase.

Buyers must maintain accurate electronic records in English of all catalytic converter purchases, including any additional information required by law.

Records must be preserved for five years and made available for inspection by local police or state police representatives within 72 hours of a purchase request.
