Department of Environmental Conservation, in consultation with the Environmental Facilities Corporation, shall create a program to assist lake associations with water quality improvement upon appropriation.

Program shall identify water quality concerns at water bodies managed by lake associations, determine effective remediation methods, and assist with establishing best practices for water quality improvement and maintenance.

Department shall establish a grant program to fund remedial actions addressing water quality issues at lake associations.

Department is authorized to promulgate rules and regulations necessary to implement the program.

Act takes effect 120 days after becoming law, with rules and regulations to be completed by that effective date.
