Removes the requirement that the real property tax exemption task force be established within the Department of Taxation and Finance.

Increases task force membership from seven to nine members by adding two additional appointments from the temporary president of the senate, one additional appointment from the speaker of the assembly, and the president of the New York State Assessors Association or designee.

Removes the commissioner of taxation and finance as a required task force member.

Modifies the data provided to the task force to include assessment roll and assessor report data from the Department of Taxation and Finance in formats consistent with the New York State Open Data Handbook standards.

Requires all task force appointments to be made within thirty days after the act's effective date.
