Reduces the out-of-pocket cost cap for covered prescription insulin drugs from $100 to $30 per 30-day supply for health insurance policies.

Applies the $30 cap regardless of insulin type, amount needed, deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, or other cost-sharing requirements.

Amends three sections of New York Insurance Law covering different types of health insurance plans (sections 3216, 3221, and 4303).

Takes effect immediately and applies to any health insurance policy or contract issued or renewed on or after January 1, 2022.
