School districts must provide intervention services for students identified as dyslexic or having other phonological learning differences or disabilities.

Required curriculum must include multi-sensory sequential phonics-based instruction taught alongside any other special instruction.

Curricula must feature explicit, systematic, sequential instruction of the alphabetic principle; meaning-based reading instruction with comprehension emphasis; and individual or small group instruction (10 students or fewer).

School districts must inform parents of intervention services being implemented for their students.

School districts must submit detailed annual reports on their dyslexia curricula and intervention services to the Department of Education and Board of Regents by July 31st.
