Directs the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority to conduct a study on powering cryptocurrency mining centers in New York State with renewable energy

Study must survey existing cryptocurrency mining centers in the state and assess their current renewable energy usage

Study must evaluate the economic and technical feasibility of powering all cryptocurrency mining centers with renewable energy and constructing additional renewable-powered facilities

Study must assess economic impacts on affected communities, including effects on local employment and job creation, and determine whether renewable-powered cryptocurrency mining could become a sustainable industry in the state

Authority must submit findings and report to the Governor, temporary president of the Senate, speaker of the Assembly, and minority leaders of both chambers no later than one year after the act takes effect
