Amends Criminal Procedure Law section 182.20 to permit courts to authorize electronic appearances for defendants in Chemung, Schuyler, and Yates counties, adding these counties to the existing list of authorized jurisdictions.

Electronic appearances apply to criminal actions but exclude appearances at hearings or trials, and require approval from both the court and the chief administrator of the courts.

Defendants must consent on the record after consulting with counsel prior to each electronic appearance.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
