Establishes a State Geological Trail connecting designated geoparks and geologically significant sites across New York State, with designated portions intersecting at Albany as the center of state geology.

Designates 94 specific geological sites for inclusion in the trail system, including Niagara Falls, Letchworth State Park, Watkins Glen State Park, and various quarries, caves, and fossil sites throughout the state.

Creates a State Geological Planning and Management Board composed of ten members, including representatives from the Departments of Environmental Conservation, Economic Development, Transportation, and Parks, plus appointees with expertise in geology, trail planning, ecology, and conservation.

Requires the commissioner to establish management plans for each designated site focused on sustainable socio-economic development, geological heritage conservation, and best practices for conservation.

Directs the board to develop signage criteria complying with federal traffic control standards, create trail publications and guidelines, and establish an internet website with educational and directional information about geological and conservation resources.
