Allows State Police members to receive service credit for unpaid or reduced paid child care leave approved by the Division of State Police, provided they return to paid employment.

Requires members to apply for service credit within 90 days after child care leave ends and contribute an amount equal to their mandatory contribution rate applied to their most recent 12 months of compensation, plus interest.

Limits service credit to one year of credit per approved child care leave period, with members needing at least five years of existing credited service to be eligible.

All past service costs incurred from implementing this provision shall be borne by the State of New York.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
