Repeals Article 6-B of the county law that was added in 2021 relating to the 9-8-8 suicide prevention and mental health crisis hotline system.

Requires the commissioner of the office of mental health to submit a report by January 21, 2022 detailing resources needed to implement the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (9-8-8) statewide.

Report must address 24/7 statewide coverage, funding strategies, capacity building for calls/chat/text/follow-up services, operational standards, and culturally competent care training.

Report must include mechanisms for maintaining local resource listings, linkages to community crisis services, follow-up services for callers, and public education campaigns distinguishing 9-8-8 from 911.

Report must be submitted to the governor, legislative leaders, and minority leaders; takes effect on the same date as the 2021 legislation it repeals.
