Authorizes Bonnie E. Sullivan to file an application for accidental disability retirement with a firefighters' cancer disability presumption on behalf of her deceased husband, Gerald J. Sullivan, a former Buffalo Fire Department employee

Gerald J. Sullivan was a performance of duty disability retiree of the New York State and Local Police and Fire Retirement System since June 1, 2015, and died from cancer on December 17, 2020

Application must be filed with the state comptroller within one year of the act's effective date and shall be deemed timely filed despite any statutory or regulatory filing deadlines

Retirement benefit will be recalculated and paid retroactively to June 1, 2015, with an estimated one-time state cost of approximately $175,000

All additional costs shall be paid by the State of New York
